User report

Haidlmair relies on ESPRIT and CHECKitB4

Haidlmair GmbH is one of the world's leading companies in tool and mould making. For high-precision components, tight tolerances and demanding turn-mill operations, the family-owned company uses ESPRIT and CHECKitB4 from Pimpel.

Initial situation

Among other parts, Haidlmair manufactures hardened precision components for hot runner systems. Pre-chamber bushings are milled, hard-turned and ground inside and outside in one clamping. The requirements for dimensional accuracy, surface quality and process reliability are in the micrometre range.

Digital manufacturing as a location factor

The company combines a high level of in-house manufacturing depth, automation and digital manufacturing processes. Skills shortages, rising productivity requirements and the demand for quality require processes that are prepared as reliably as possible before the real machine run.

Solution with ESPRIT

ESPRIT is used for CAM programming. The software supports complex 5-axis strategies, flexible machining of different workpieces and the programming of demanding turn-mill tasks. Reliable preparation is particularly important for single parts and small batches.

Virtual run-in process with CHECKitB4

CHECKitB4 extends CAM programming with the digital run-in process. NC programs are checked virtually before production. This reduces risks, allows corrections to be made earlier and makes better use of real machine time.

Everyday value

The combination of ESPRIT and CHECKitB4 increases process reliability and improves utilization of the turn-mill machines. Run-in times are significantly reduced, machine operators work with more confidence and high-precision components can be prepared more reliably.

Result

Haidlmair uses digital manufacturing as a fixed part of work preparation. ESPRIT and CHECKitB4 connect CAM programming, virtual verification and real production into a workflow that improves machine availability, quality and process reliability.

User

Haidlmair GmbH is a family-owned company based in Nußbach, Upper Austria, specializing in injection moulds for cubic and cuboid moulded parts. The company combines many years of toolmaking experience with a high level of manufacturing depth and consistent digitalization.
