Pimpel comes from the world of CAD/CAM, machine context, and production. That is why we do not see digital manufacturing as a collection of isolated software solutions, but as the interaction of machine, programming, and the real manufacturing process.

Our goal is not to add more complexity, but to create technical and organizational clarity. For us, solutions are good when they work reliably in the plant, reduce the burden on employees, and contribute to more stable manufacturing processes.

In the end, it has to work on the shop floor.

Since 1996, we at Pimpel have been working on one central question: how can software, machines and people work together better in manufacturing? A lot has changed over that time. My benchmark has not: a solution has to work in day-to-day production.

That is why my goal is not to sell a customer as much software as possible. We need to understand how their manufacturing operation works, where unnecessary effort is created, and what will actually help from both a technical and organizational perspective.

That also means saying openly when a smaller solution makes more sense than the project originally planned. Trust is not built through the biggest order, but when decisions still prove to be the right ones months and years later.
