Immediately after generating the CNC program, the CNC code is simulated based on the NC kernel of Siemens or Heidenhain. There is no interpreter running in the background! The control system is booted on the PC with all the machine-specific parameters, aka machine DNA (such as the axis parameters, traverse limits, special cycles, subroutines, etc.) and the CNC program is executed just like on the machine.
